Cultural Diplomacy Projects

UNITED EMBASSIES

An International Cultural Diplomacy Initiative

United Embassies invites embassies from around the world to participate in an annual international art exhibition, presenting selected artists from their respective countries. Through art and cultural exchange, the initiative aims to promote peace, respect for human rights, and mutual understanding among nations, creating a shared space for dialogue, cooperation, and international friendship.

PEACE VS WAR

Outdoor Anti-War Art Sculpture Exhibition

This outdoor exhibition of anti-war sculptures is planned to take place in the area of the Green Line in Nicosia, Cyprus, during the summer season. The exhibition will feature nine large-scale aluminium sculptures installed in public spaces, inviting visitors to experience an artistic journey through the historic neighbourhood and its unique cultural surroundings. The project aims to deliver a powerful message of peace, unity, and human solidarity, while highlighting the cultural and tourism potential of Nicosia’s Old City.

THE REAL DEBT

The Human Cost of Power

THE REAL DEBT challenges the concept of financial debt, arguing that humanity’s true debt is measured in human lives lost to wars, genocides, and atrocities committed in the pursuit of power. The project consists of 11 artworks in the form of banknotes, tracing historical atrocities from the age of Christopher Columbus to the present day, questioning the human cost of political power and the responsibility of world leaders. The exhibition was presented in Venice, Italy, and is scheduled to be presented at the European Parliament in Brussels in 2027.

A debt measured in human lives can never be repaid.
